RHONJ, Season 14, Episode 13–When All is Said and Done: The Last Supper

I’m in a Jersey state of mind today and also craving a good steak, so I decided to tackle the Season 14 finale. It was a doozy, remember?

We skip the intros and dive right into  scenes of Rachel Fuda’s adorable daughters, along with some cute moments between Melissa, Joe, and their youngest son. Jersey actually gives us some wholesome family footage before the bodies start dropping.

At Margaret’s, she’s still stewing over Teresa’s meeting with her lawyer and the other women. Essentially, it was a Marge-bashing session.

Jen Fessler comes over to discuss. Neither of them was at the meeting, but somehow the whole thing has Jen stressed out anyway.

Margaret tells Jen about the funeral arrangement she sent to Teresa for her “dignity.” We get flashbacks of Teresa telling Margaret she can stick it up her ass.

Romance is alive and well in Jersey.

Margaret says Jackie is also dead to her because she’s such a hypocrite. She isn’t worried about what the sit-down could reveal about her, but she says she’ll be dropping some bombs on these women soon.

Jen tells Margaret her wine is gross.

Priorities.

Then Dolores calls and wants to stop by. She’s coming directly from Teresa’s meeting.

It’s like 10 a.m. and already a very busy day in Jersey.

Margaret sages Dolores as she walks in because she was just at Teresa’s.

Margaret is really beating this to death.

She asks Dolores about the meeting, and Dolores is, as usual, diplomatic. She gives her the bare facts. Teresa believes Margaret has been talking to Luis’s ex and is behind a lot of the internet rumors about him.

Margaret admits she has spoken to the ex, but says it was only recently and never about putting out rumors.

Dolores questions why Margaret would ever speak to this woman in the first place.

Margaret explains that it happened after all the Dietl Dumb and Dietl Dee bullshit and everything that happened when Margaret’s son was threatened. She says she was looking for validation.

Dolores is tired of all of it.

Margaret says she would never have a summit like Teresa did, and Dolores brings up last year’s reunion review that Margaret hosted and thanks her for not inviting her.

Margaret says she did invite her.

Suddenly, Dolores’s veins are popping out of her head and she is calling Margaret a “lying cunt.”

Jen Fessler looks completely shell-shocked.

She is not cut out for this shit.

Dolores is losing her shit, a rare occurrence but one to take very seriously. She repeatedly calls Marge a “fucking liar.” Marge is stunned. If her new face could move, it would look shocked. Dolores swears on her kids that Marge is lying. She says she thinks she has to leave and looks like she is going to explode. Marge says she is offended and asks her not to walk out on her. The moment calms for a second. 

Jen Fessler steps in and Dolores apologizes for the lying cunt remark, calmly saying she has had a long day. 

This is all SO Jersey. “Hey, you’re a cunt. But, I didn’t mean it. I am just tired. Let’s have a cronut.” 

Dolores takes it back. Marge moves on. They discuss their upcoming Berkshires trip which is not happening because the house they rented burned to the ground. LMAO. Sounds about right. And suddenly, everyone is hugging. Dolores thinks they all need closure and should have one last dinner for everyone to have one last say. They all agree.

At the Fudas, Rachel has Danielle Cabral and Melissa over for fancy snacks.

I love me some fancy snacks.

They discuss the rental house burning down and agree it feels like a symbol for all the fractures in the group.

Danielle fills them in on the powwow at Teresa’s. Melissa finds it odd that Gia was there.

They also discuss Luis’s ex reaching out to all of them with information. Melissa says it isn’t just the ex. Even his niece approached her and told her to be “very afraid” of him.

They all agree that the stress seems to be wearing on Teresa.

Melissa questions what this whole “Last Supper” concept is actually going to entail, and they agree the point is to put their issues with each other to bed.

Because apparently the best way to achieve closure is to put every unresolved Jersey grievance around one dinner table and hope nobody flips it.

At Danielle’s, she and her husband are carving pumpkins with the kids. They discuss her estrangement from her father and brother, and Danielle decides to text her dad.

The kids are very excited about the pumpkins, and it’s genuinely nice to see Danielle trying to repair her relationship with her father.

But let’s be honest. We all know why we’re here.

We’re waiting for the dinner.

That’s the real star of this episode.

We see each of the women debating what to wear to the dinner at Rails, and most of them go for a mob-wife black vibe.

Seems appropriate.

Dolores and Jen Fessler have organized the dinner and plan to play mediators.

Luis asks Teresa how she plans to navigate Margaret and immediately says he hopes Margaret’s family and son suffer.

It’s really nasty, and incredibly bold to say on camera.

Margaret is planning on blowing Jackie out of the water with what she knows about her.

I can’t wait.

Luis badmouths Margaret and Melissa, and Teresa says she is done with Melissa and Joe forever. She says she kept the peace for her parents, but now she’s done.

We get flashbacks of Nono and Nona, and it’s genuinely touching. I always loved those old family scenes. They remind you that underneath all the ridiculousness, there is a real history between Teresa and the Gorgas.

Which makes the fact that they’re now saying they’re done with each other forever even sadder.

Joe Gorga and Melissa talk, and Joe says he’ll always worry about his sister, but he’s happy being done with her.

He feels screwed over by Luis and unsupported by Teresa. He says his life is more peaceful without them in it.

And honestly, that seems to be where both sides have landed. After years of fighting, defending, reconciling, and fighting again, everyone seems exhausted.

Which is probably why this dinner is about to be a terrible idea.

The women start arriving at Rails. I need to go there again. Maybe I will run into Frank Catania. Or better yet, Frankie. The women always have drama at this place. I can’t believe they are allowed back. They must be big tippers. 

The ladies have a private room for lunch at Rails, which is probably a very good call. They discuss the safest way to seat everyone, and it is surprisingly tricky.

This shit is an asteroid-sized explosion waiting to happen. We are looking at an extinction-level event.

Teresa is the last to arrive, and we get flashbacks of her losing it over the years.

Is it a preview of what’s to come?

Some awesome food starts coming to the table. Teresa says Margaret will end up wearing it if she has to sit across from her.

Aaaaannnnd welcome to lunch!

Jersey style.

Jen Fessler and Dolores try to restore order and give the floor to Jennifer Aydin and Danielle. They immediately start fighting about Danielle’s charity event and Jennifer’s accusation that Danielle is cheap.

Jennifer says Danielle can’t afford things.

Danielle says Jennifer is jealous of her life and how much her husband loves her. She points out that Jennifer has 18 bedrooms, but her house is empty.

Ouch.

Jennifer says Danielle got the brawn and her husband, Nate, got the boobs.

Danielle flies across the table and hurls a glass.

All of the women jump to their feet.

Teresa cries for them to cut it out, and suddenly she and Melissa go AT it.

Everything they have really thought about each other for twenty years comes bursting out.

Melissa calls Teresa “white trash.”

Teresa says her brother married a “whore.”

And there it is.

Their true feelings.

No more pretending.

This is a great dinner so far.

They exchange “fuck yous” and then engage in some kind of bizarre pose-off that I can’t adequately explain.

At this point, I’m not even sure what we’re watching.

Jennifer Aydin wants Danielle to leave. Jen Fessler wants to leave. Some of the women comfort Danielle, while the others tell Jennifer to back off the husband talk.

Danielle is really upset, but everyone agrees she can stay as long as she remains seated and away from Jennifer.

Honestly, those are not exactly the conditions you hope for at a nice lunch.

Jen Fessler bails on the whole event. It’s too much for her.

And I can’t blame her. She came here to mediate, not referee an extinction-level Jersey event.

They all return to the table, minus Fessler. Danielle sits as far away from Jennifer Aydin as humanly possible.

Teresa immediately starts in on what a terrible person Margaret is. She says she has facts and information.

Margaret comes back with her own facts about when she first spoke to Luis’s ex, and Dolores thinks her dates don’t quite match up.

Teresa refuses to listen to anybody and keeps repeating that Margaret is lying.

Everyone encourages her to actually hear Margaret out.

Teresa and Rachel Fuda go at it over Jon Fuda’s past and Rachel tells Teresa to keep her husband’s name out of her “hot dog lips.” Teresa just keeps talking. Rachel says she needs to be checked. 

And then Margaret drops THE ASTEROID.

Jackie is the one who has been talking to Luis’s ex.

Jackie had the ex over to her house.

Jackie.

Teresa’s new best friend.

The very person Teresa has been defending is doing the exact thing Teresa has been accusing Margaret of doing.

And suddenly, this entire dinner just got a whole lot more interesting.

Fessler is missing out. 

Jackie looks panicked but vehemently denies everything and says Margaret is deflecting.

Margaret starts laying out the facts and receipts.

Teresa barely reacts to any of it, even when Jackie finally admits that it’s true.

Everyone’s jaw drops to the floor.

Jackie says it happened back in February 2021, when she and Teresa hated each other because Teresa was spreading the rumor that Jackie’s husband was cheating.

Teresa is perfectly calm.

She says she understands.

Wait.

What?!

Margaret calls Jackie a liar and a snake.

Dolores interjects to check in with Teresa. Jackie just revealed something huge, and Dolores seems genuinely concerned about whether Teresa is even processing it.

Because we know that can take a while.

Teresa says she’s fine with it all.

Melissa says, “We’re not over the fucking sprinkle cookies, but THAT’S okay!”

It is the line of the season.

I am dead.

I love a good throwback.

Even Jennifer Aydin is shocked by Teresa’s calmness and wonders if this might be a delayed reaction.

I hope so.

And I hope the cameras catch it.

Jackie keeps trying to explain herself, but she clearly can’t wait to get the hell out of there. When she finally leaves, all of the other women are around the corner talking about her.

And Jackie literally backs the fuck up to get away from them.

She is scurrying backwards down the walkway.

It is fabulous.

Melissa feels like there was no resolution. Jen says it was a nice try.

Dolores says this group is no longer a family.

We see her sitting alone at the table, surrounded by smashed glass, while flashbacks show all of these women as friends over the years.

Dolores wonders how it all became so toxic.

It’s bad.

As bad as it has ever been in Jersey.

And this is the finale that was so chaotic and violent that Bravo ultimately canceled the traditional reunion and put the franchise on pause. It was very nearly the end of RHONJ.

But boy, was it a ride.
