Kyle Richards has been on RHOBH since the beginning, so naturally, the Jurassic fossil record is extensive. From throwing her own sister under the bus to questioning someone’s trauma, Kyle has had plenty of moments where the “nice Kyle” act completely fell apart.
Here are 10 of her most vile moments.
1. The Sutton miscarriage interrogation
Kyle inserting herself into the conversation about Sutton’s miscarriages was absolutely brutal. When Sutton discussed her own painful experiences, Kyle responded with “We don’t know that,” essentially demanding proof of Sutton’s trauma.
There are Housewives arguments, and then there’s questioning someone’s deeply personal loss on camera. Not a good look, Kyle.
2. Outing Kim’s alcoholism
The Season 1 limo fight with Kim Richards remains one of the darkest moments in RHOBH history.
Kyle didn’t just argue with her sister. She exposed Kim’s struggle with alcoholism on national television during an explosive confrontation.
3. Laughing while Erika attacked Garcelle’s son
When Erika Jayne went after Garcelle’s teenage son, Kyle’s reaction was… laughter.
Watching a grown woman verbally unload on a 14-year-old and finding the situation funny is difficult to defend. Kyle wasn’t the one being attacked, and she certainly didn’t need to encourage the chaos.
4. The Puppygate pile-on against Lisa Vanderpump
Kyle went from one of Lisa Vanderpump’s closest friends to one of the people confronting her over Puppygate.
The infamous visit to Villa Rosa ended with Kyle essentially being shown the door.
Kyle insisted she was simply asking questions. Lisa saw it very differently.
And just like that, one of the longest-running RHOBH friendships was toast.
5. “You’re such a fucking liar, Camille!”
Kyle and Camille Grammer’s Season 1 dinner confrontation was one of the original RHOBH explosions.
Kyle went from Beverly Hills socialite to full prehistoric rage in about three seconds.
It was loud. It was vicious. And it established very early that Kyle was perfectly capable of getting nasty when pushed.
6. The Carlton Wiccan comments
Kyle’s feud with Carlton Gebbia got personal very quickly.
Kyle made comments about Carlton’s Wiccan beliefs and even delivered the infamous “witch” jab.
Whatever you thought of Carlton, mocking someone’s religion or spiritual beliefs because you dislike them is a pretty ugly way to fight.
7. The treatment of Brandi at Game Night
Kyle and Kim’s behavior toward Brandi Glanville at Game Night had serious middle-school mean-girl energy.
Brandi was already the outsider, and rather than simply ignoring her, Kyle and Kim seemed determined to make sure she knew she wasn’t welcome.
It was petty, exclusionary and extremely uncomfortable to watch.
8. Calling LVP a chess player
At the Season 1 reunion, Kyle compared Lisa Vanderpump to chess master Bobby Fischer, describing their friendship as essentially playing chess with someone who is always several moves ahead.
The irony?
Kyle would eventually spend years accusing LVP of being manipulative and calculating — while simultaneously proving she had understood that side of Lisa from the beginning.
Maybe Kyle should have taken notes.
9. The Denise Richards takedown
Season 10 turned into a full-scale interrogation of Denise Richards over the Brandi Glanville allegations.
Kyle was part of the group repeatedly pressing Denise for answers, while the storyline increasingly became less about what actually happened and more about forcing Denise to admit something she repeatedly denied.
Watching several women gang up on one cast member was ugly.
And Kyle was right there in the middle of it.
10. The Kathy Hilton/Aspen fallout
The Kathy Hilton situation became one of the ugliest family feuds RHOBH has ever aired.
After the infamous Aspen meltdown, Kyle found herself caught between defending her sister and confronting her over what allegedly happened.
But instead of keeping the family drama private, it became another Housewives storyline — with Kyle ultimately accusing Kathy of saying horrible things about her and their family.
Whatever actually happened in that sprinter van, watching another Richards sister relationship implode on camera was bleak.
The Verdict
Kyle has spent years cultivating the image of being the reasonable one.
But the Jurassic record tells a different story.
She can be funny. She can be charming. She can absolutely be the voice of reason.
