• The day after the disastrous first-night dinner in Cabo, the women check in with their families and call home. Then they start discussing their plans for the day and, naturally, the dinner from the night before.

None of the women can believe Jennifer’s behavior. Jennifer admits that tequila makes her not so nicey-nicey, but insists that Marge was out of line. She says there is plenty she could say about Marge’s looks if she wanted to.

Oh, I’m sure there is, Jen.

Meanwhile, Danielle and Teresa have breakfast and agree that Marge went after Jennifer the night before. Dolores disagrees and tells Frank that Jennifer drank way too much tequila and went crazy.

Jackie feels like Teresa should have stuck up for them and defended the necklace. Danielle is still completely fixated on Marge and keeps winding Teresa up about her.

This is exactly what Teresa needs: Danielle whispering in her ear while she’s already annoyed with Marge. What could possibly go wrong?

Marge, Jackie, and Dolores hit the pool while Danielle, Jennifer, Melissa, and Teresa head into town to do some shopping.

Jackie opens up a little about her eating disorder. She says she’s past all of her eating issues, which is sad to watch knowing that she is still struggling. Dolores reveals that she had her own issues with food in the past and shows a picture of herself when she was so thin that her family thought she might be on drugs. That was her wake-up call.

Good for her. I love Dolores.

Meanwhile, the other women have a gorgeous-looking Mexican lunch in town. And honestly, this is exactly what I want from a Housewives trip: beautiful scenery, ridiculous food, expensive-looking drinks, and absolutely no idea that they’re about to have another enormous fight.

Teresa is finally eating and enjoying herself, which is probably the best thing about the fitness competition being over. Jennifer, meanwhile, goes right for a shot.

    Oh, boy.

We are gonna be in for it.

Melissa immediately sees the beast awakening.

Back at the pool, we get more discussion about the dinner from the night before. Jackie thinks Jennifer is a nut job. Dolores thinks she was just drunk and that both Jen and Marge owe each other an apology.

Then they look up pictures of monkey asses.

Yes, they actually sit around looking at pictures of monkey asses to determine whether Marge’s lip-liner insult was accurate.

They decide she was on point.

On the shopping trip, Jennifer says her feelings were hurt by Marge. Melissa tries to reason with both Jennifer and Teresa, but Danielle is having none of it. She blames Marge for everything and, naturally, makes the whole situation about herself.

Danielle says there is a reason Marge’s stepkids don’t speak to her, and Melissa immediately tells her she’s crossing a line.

Melissa starts getting Jersey-Shore-style pissed and walks away from Danielle, calling her a “little bitch.”

Teresa goes after Melissa, while Jen goes after Danielle. Melissa says kids should be off limits. She has caught Danielle in lies before and doesn’t trust her, so she’s not about to let Danielle drag Marge’s kids into the argument.

Danielle tells Jen that she’s only responding to how Marge has hurt her. Because apparently everyone in Cabo has decided that the best way to resolve conflict is to make it significantly worse.

On the bus ride back to the hotel, Teresa proposes that they do more shots.

    Of course she does.

Danielle feels attacked, and Jennifer feels badly for her. The women head back to the hotel to change for dinner.

Jennifer Aydin comes out dressed like Big Bird.

I wouldn’t dare say this to her face, though. She scares me.

Dinner is at a gorgeous restaurant perched on a huge cliff overlooking the ocean, and it is absolutely stunning. I want to get paid to go to exotic places and beautiful restaurants to fight. All my fights just happen at home. It’s lame.

They discuss riding camels the next day, and Teresa is dubious. Everyone else seems game. They order drinks, and here goes Jen with the tequila.

Melissa comments on it, and Jen is offended. Marge says she doesn’t think Jennifer realizes what she’s like after she drinks. Jen doesn’t want to talk about it. She says Marge’s snarkiness triggered her.

    Marge says Jen twists everything.

Then the mail-order bride and cheating comments come up.

Jennifer says she can’t relate to people who sleep with married men and that the topic is very taboo for her, while Marge is used to an environment where cheating happens.

Marge comes back with, “That’s why your husband sleeps in the pool house.”

Jen says she doesn’t care where Bill sleeps.

And Marge, casually taking a bite of food, says, “I know. Whether it’s at his girlfriend’s house or not.”

Tequila Jen hasn’t even taken a sip yet, and she bursts out:

“You better shut the fuck up with that!”

    And we’re off.

Marge asks if she hit a nerve, and the answer is clearly yes.

Jennifer gets up and leaves the table, and Danielle immediately goes after her. Danielle acts like she’s deeply hurt on Jennifer’s behalf, but I think she’s really just rallying anyone who hates Marge. She has found her Cabo purpose.

Dolores tells Marge that her comment was below the belt. Marge admits she knows nothing about Jennifer’s marriage and was just spouting off, but she obviously hit a nerve.

All of the women agree that they would be furious if someone talked that way about their mother. Marge says Jennifer attacked first, so she was just fighting back.

Jennifer eventually returns to the table, and Marge apologizes. She says she only said it to hurt Jennifer and that it was wrong.

They move on pretty quickly, at least for now.

Still, another beautiful dinner ruined in another beautiful place.

In the morning, they all prepare for the camel ride. How does one prepare for a camel ride, anyway? I want to go on a camel ride. This seems like the kind of random vacation activity Housewives should be doing more often.

Jennifer says she didn’t feel tipsy at all the night before.

    Okay.

Dolores says Jennifer handled herself well with the Marge comment, while Danielle is in Teresa’s ear again about how mean and devious Marge is.

Jennifer says Danielle has been super supportive of her, and Dolores, ever the wise woman, tells Jennifer to beware of Danielle.

Listen to Dolores. She knows what’s up.

The women are super dressed up to ride a camel, and I don’t get it. Were they expecting the camels to have a dress code?

They even get to feed the camels. Teresa is a little afraid, but Dolores is crazy about them. I am starting to feel like this is the calm before another tequila storm, but for now, it’s actually cute.

They go for the ride, nobody fights, and Teresa’s coochie gets a much-needed massage. Hey, whatever happens on the camel stays on the camel.

After the ride, they go for lunch and beer and start talking about Joe Giudice. His release from jail is approaching, and Teresa hopes they fall in love all over again when they’re reunited, but she’s nervous. She’s much more independent than she was when Joe went to jail, and she isn’t sure what their relationship will look like when he comes home.

Dolores cautions Teresa that Joe may be humbled now, but he’ll go back to his old ways shortly after he comes home. He’ll want the old Teresa back.

Teresa brushes off the advice. She thinks Joe has changed.

They get ready for their last dinner in Cabo. Last suppers always go well with this crew.

Melissa, Jackie, and Marge discuss Danielle and think she has Teresa under a spell. They see right through her and aren’t buying Danielle’s act.

Melissa hopes the final dinner can somehow pass without any arguments.

    Melissa is silly.

The dinner setup looks absolutely gorgeous, and as we all know, with Housewives, the prettier the table, the more disastrous the meal. A stunning table is basically a warning sign at this point.

Jennifer has a tequila. Oh, no.

She announces that she is having an anniversary party and all of the women are invited. Marge is impressed that Jennifer is not holding a grudge against her. The women ask if her brother’s fiancée will be at the party and ask about his engagement. No mail-order bride comments in sight, thank goodness.

They are busy talking about penises instead.

Jennifer is losing track of her shots, but she is slinging back whatever is in front of her. She seems to be in a genuinely good mood. The food comes, and the conversation turns to Jennifer’s lips.

And then Danielle brings up Marge’s monkey-asshole comment just to rile up Jennifer.

Oh, man. This was going so well!

Jennifer looks furious and seems to go into some kind of trance. Marge tells Danielle she should shut up because she is a fucking liar.

Teresa says Marge did lie when she said Bill had a girlfriend. Jennifer is looking down, fire in her eyes and steam coming from her nostrils. She literally looks nuts. She is so furious that she can’t even bring herself to speak.

What in the flying fuck is happening here?

Dolores notices and nudges Melissa. Jennifer finally asks why they are talking about this again. The women are all talking at once while Jennifer sits there visibly seething.

Danielle wants an apology from Marge about the wedding. Oh, let it go, Elsa.

Marge calls Danielle irrelevant. Danielle fires back that she has people who care about her, unlike Marge, whose own children won’t be around her. Melissa is immediately pissed and says kids are off limits.

    Teresa takes up for Danielle.

Meanwhile, Jen is losing her mind in the corner.

Marge calls Danielle an old dog with no new tricks. Marge then dumps her wine on Danielle, who responds by calling her a “fucking cunt.” Everyone gets up from the table, and Danielle goes after Marge. Dolores has wine in her eye. Producers and Jennifer have to hold Danielle back.

Dolores thinks Danielle is low for talking about Marge’s children. She hates Danielle and makes no bones about it.

Danielle then stabs the table with a knife.

How do these people not get kicked out of more places?

The Bill comment comes up again, and Jennifer is looking very scary. Melissa defends Marge because she thinks Danielle has Teresa going in circles. Teresa says what Marge said about Bill is terrible.

Jennifer starts puffing out her chest and screaming, “Thank you!” in a low, scary dinosaur growl.

The other women are all speaking at once and talking over her. Teresa says Marge was wrong for throwing the wine, while Melissa points out that Jennifer threw a glass at her.

    Jennifer says she didn’t.

Then she proudly declares, “If I threw a glass at you, sweetheart, you would know it.”

And just like that, Jennifer grabs her glass, smashes it, and holds the shard toward Melissa.

    Melissa goes to charge her.

    Dolores says, “Oh, shit.”

And the screen fades out before we see what happens next.

This might warrant a Part 3.

  • The episode opens with scenes of the wives starting their mornings and waking up their kids. It’s actually pretty cute. Frankie Catania is getting ready for his fitness competition, and so is Teresa. She shows her girls the tiny bathing suit she’ll be wearing onstage, and Audriana immediately points out that it’s going to go up her butt. True story.

Teresa hasn’t told Joe Giudice about the competition. He is in jail and therefore has no say in the matter, but eventually she tells him, and he’s supportive. So there you go.

Meanwhile, Marge heads to a jeweler with Melissa and Jackie to pick out a gift for Teresa to celebrate her competition. They settle on a bar-style necklace with the word “Strong” spelled out in diamonds. All of the women are chipping in for it. It’s cute. Not really my style, but cute. More on the necklace later.

Melissa is still selling her fake long-lost sister storyline, and nobody cares. Melissa gossips about Danielle Staub, because apparently we haven’t gotten enough Danielle Staub gossip yet. None of the women, except Teresa, really trust Danielle at this point, so naturally she is invited on the trip to Cabo. Because that’s how this group operates.

Marge is worried about Jennifer Aydin’s drinking on the trip, although she feels like the two of them are in a good place. Famous last words.

Jennifer and her youngest daughter, Olivia, go to visit Bill at his plastic surgery office. Jennifer pops in at least once a week, and we know why. Olivia is clearly a little princess who runs the show, and Bill is absolutely delighted to see his daughter. Olivia wanders around the office while Jennifer and Bill discuss the upcoming Cabo trip.

It’s only Jennifer’s second time away from the kids, but Bill is pretty supportive of her going. He just encourages her to watch her tequila intake.

Good advice, Bill. Unfortunately, you appear to have given it to the wrong person.

Jennifer is nervous about the Marge situation. She’s still heated about the “mail-order bride” comment Marge made about her brother’s fiancée, so there is clearly some unfinished business there.

Meanwhile, Olivia wants new perfume. I have a feeling she will get it.

Teresa goes to work out with Frank, who is training her for the competition, and Teresa looks JACKED. I mean, she is seriously ripped. I would not want to piss off Fitness Teresa.

Marge and Joe discuss her stepson, Brett, and his estrangement from her ex-husband, Jan. It isn’t very interesting. I hate when she calls herself “The Marge.” It’s obnoxious. Nobody needs a nickname that they have given themselves.

Melissa goes to dinner with her sisters and her mother, and naturally she opens with the bullshit sister story. Apparently, some medium told her she has a third sister, and since her father fooled around a lot, Melissa believes it enough to involve her mother and sisters in the whole thing.

This is lame. None of it makes sense, and it isn’t remotely interesting. Melissa’s mother says she would accept the daughter, but she would strangle the mother. Okay, then.

Melissa’s mom also gets a little buzzed, and honestly, that is the most entertaining part of the entire dinner. I miss seeing my mom buzzed. It was always a good time.

Teresa and Frankie hit the spray tan parlor to get ready for the competition. I don’t hate seeing this scene with Frankie, and that makes me feel dirty. Dolores would kill me.

They tan, they pose, and they flex. It’s all perfectly fine, but this is clearly just the lead-in to something bigger. Let’s get there.

We see Marge preparing for her “Hospital Heroes Gala,” where she’s launching her kids’ hospital gown line. It’s a great cause, but again, I’d like to get to the drama.

Over at Teresa’s, we see Nono cooking first thing in the morning. I love Nono scenes. Give me Nono cooking breakfast over another five minutes of Melissa’s imaginary sister any day.

Frankie and Teresa head to the competition, and they both do really well. They look super fit, although Teresa’s rocking butt deserves its own category.

Frankie gets first place! Teresa places third, and she is super happy. Honestly, it’s a really sweet moment. After all the buildup, she actually did it, and she looks great.

We get scenes of the women packing for Cabo. Teresa can’t wait to eat and drink whatever she wants now that the fitness show is over. Jackie is excited to see Teresa party, because Jackie is obsessed with Teresa. Olivia is devastated that Jennifer is going away, while Dolores is doing squats, because of course she is.

Marge is worried about dealing with Danielle. The two of them have been on the outs ever since Danielle’s ill-fated wedding to Marty. I gotta recap those episodes.

And then they get to Cabo! Finally!

Everyone is in good spirits, and I immediately wonder how long that’s going to last. Their resort is super fancy and posh, and I love shit like this. I want to see Housewives go places I can’t afford to go and do things I can’t afford to do. We need more of that. Give me the ridiculous luxury. That’s what I’m here for.

They get their room assignments, and Teresa makes sure Danielle is staying with her since Danielle doesn’t get along with anyone else. Teresa and Danielle immediately do shots, because apparently that’s how Teresa welcomes people to vacation.

Jackie thinks Danielle is crazy and wants to stay as far away from her as possible. Melissa, meanwhile, doesn’t understand the allegiance between Danielle and Teresa considering their, shall we say, rocky past.

    Neither do I.

Also, I want to go to Cabo. I was supposed to go with my bestie in 2012, but my cat got sick. I stayed with her, and it was worth it. There I go digressing again.

The women get ready for dinner, and Jennifer has A LOT of lip liner on. It is very, um, distinctive. It’s a real choice.

All of the women are ready to party, and they plan to present the “Strong” necklace to Teresa at dinner. They do more shots! Jennifer Aydin sticks to tequila, which is the exact drink Bill specifically warned her about.

I met Jennifer Aydin once. It was at an event for her line of beauty pillows. She wasn’t drinking. She seemed kind, polite, and subdued. I wonder if there is a connection there. Maybe sober Jennifer and Tequila Jen are two entirely different people.

But back to Tequila Jen in Cabo.

They give Teresa the necklace, and she loves it. She’s genuinely touched. Marge explains that they had it made by a jeweler in Englewood, and Jennifer is PISSED.

Apparently, she doesn’t understand why they wouldn’t have used her brother, who is also a jeweler. Why would she chip in for someone else’s product?

None of this makes much sense to me, though. Wouldn’t Jennifer have known they weren’t going to her brother’s store? Why is this suddenly an issue? And why is it suddenly a HUGE issue?

All of the women are completely stunned by Jennifer’s reaction. She actually goes so far as to say that the necklace is ugly. It is so over-the-top rude that everyone’s mouth is hanging open.

Marge thinks the cocktails are getting to Jennifer’s brain. I think she is correct.

Jen announces that Marge is now at the top of her shit list. Dolores, who actually likes Jen, agrees that she is being beyond rude. Marge says something is wrong with Jen, and Jen fires back, “I am on point like nobody’s business.”

    Sure, Jen.

Then Marge insults Jennifer’s lip liner. She says it looks like a monkey’s asshole.

    Jen FLIPS HER LID.

She claps her hands and screams, “A monkey’s asshole, that you fucking sucked!”

Melissa immediately hides behind her napkin. Everyone else looks absolutely mortified.

The crazy train has officially left the station. And we haven’t even gotten to the glass yet.

Dolores keeps eating, and I admire her fortitude. The woman is sitting there calmly finishing her meal while everyone else is having a complete nervous breakdown. Priorities.

Danielle and Jennifer Aydin take a walk because they both hate Marge. Marge doesn’t care. She goes right back to her meal, which honestly may be the correct response at this point.

Teresa wants to know why Marge isn’t friends with Danielle anymore, especially after being her bridesmaid the year before. Teresa thinks Marge should be loyal to Danielle.

Teresa then goes to check on Jen. I’m not entirely sure why. Jen was the one screaming at everyone, but apparently she needs a wellness check.

Dolores points out that Teresa has never been the best judge of character, and that has been true since they were sixteen years old. This is a running theme throughout the show.

The women finally call it a night, and I know they need their rest.

Because Part 2 is gonna be LIT!

  • Twelve hours after Dolores’ flapper party, we already know something went spectacularly wrong. The episode opens by showing us the aftermath before taking us back to the events leading up to it, so basically, we are going to spend the next hour working our way toward whatever fresh hell happened at that party.

At Margaret’s house, she is having coffee while we get flash-forwards to the eventual blowup. The editing makes it clear that something major is coming, but we don’t know exactly how everyone gets there yet.

Over at Melissa’s, she is hanging out by the pool while we see glimpses of her eventual confrontation with Teresa. Melissa says she has been keeping a huge secret in an effort to keep the family together. Naturally, this makes the secret sound approximately 700 times more dramatic.

Teresa, meanwhile, is preparing for her upcoming wedding to Luis, but she is worried that the Gorgas are going to somehow ruin it.

Then we get to Dolores, who is on her way to Teresa’s house. She calls Melissa, who tells her that she cannot go to Teresa’s wedding. According to Melissa, Teresa is constantly trying to ruin her marriage, and she is not willing to keep putting herself through the same cycle.

So, before we even get to Dolores’ party, the episode has already established the major fault lines: Teresa is worried about the Gorgas, Melissa is sitting on a secret, Margaret is somehow involved in the coming explosion, and Dolores is wandering into the middle of all of it.

And we still have absolutely no idea what happened at that damn flapper party.

Okay, here we are, finally! Now we are flashing back to the set up for the party and Dolores looks adorable and happy as she prepares Paulie’s house for everyone.

There are Irish dancers at the party, which is a fun touch. Fun fact: one of these dancers was once in a class I taught, but that’s another story. I do love my little connections to Jersey, though. The dancers are cute, Dolores is still excited, and I am ready for the fight. Come on, already.

The guests start arriving, all dressed in their 1920s best. The Housewives absolutely love a flapper theme. The Irish whiskey is flowing, and all of the food looks fantastic. These parties always start out so well.

Which, of course, means we know this one is going to end terribly.

The men all look like they are about to audition for Newsies, which is appropriate because apparently 1920s fashion means putting every man in New Jersey in suspenders.

Jennifer Aydin starts drinking the second she walks through the door, which always goes so well. Bill looks mildly concerned, and honestly, he has earned that expression.

The women discuss Danielle Cabral’s situation with her brother. They don’t understand why the two of them are estranged, and I’m not entirely sure why any of them care. Danielle arrives, and everyone immediately starts doing shots because apparently this is how we solve family problems in New Jersey.

Frank Catania is there. Frank! I love him. That’s all.

Bill Aydin brings up Teresa, who still hasn’t arrived. Joe Gorga doesn’t want to talk to her, which is not exactly surprising considering the state of their relationship.

Melissa and Rachel ask Danielle about her brother, and somehow the conversation turns to Margaret. Margaret’s former friend Laura has been talking to all of the women, spreading rumors and generally inserting herself into everyone’s business.

Danielle is listening to what Laura has been saying, while Melissa and Rachel tell her that this needs to stop. Danielle agrees that they should put the whole thing behind them.

    Which sounds very reasonable.

So obviously, we know that isn’t going to happen.

Melissa and Rachel think Danielle has been acting oddly ever since Ireland. Danielle admits that something has been weighing on her mind, but she doesn’t quite spill it yet. More to come on that later.

Danielle does, however, want to tell Melissa about a rumor she’s heard: that Melissa has been cheating on Joe Gorga. Apparently, Margaret’s friend Laura says Margaret saw Melissa making out with another man in the back of a car.

Haven’t we heard something like this before?

Either the Jersey rumor mill is not particularly creative, or Melissa really does have a thing for making out in the back of cars. Undetermined.

Then Teresa and Luis arrive, and the music gets dramatically ominous because apparently we are supposed to know that trouble has just walked through the door.

Luis looks absolutely loaded up as he pointedly ignores the Gorgas. Nothing says happy family gathering quite like your brother and sister-in-law standing ten feet away while you pretend they don’t exist.

Melissa and Teresa greet each other normally enough, which feels almost suspicious considering the circumstances.

Little Frankie Catania is there, and Jen Fessler immediately wants to set him up with her daughter. Hands off, Fessy! My stepdaughter goes to college in North Jersey, and I want Frankie for her.

Oh, wait. He just got married.

    You snooze, you lose.

    But anyway.

Luis and Teresa are excited about their upcoming wedding, while continuing to ignore the Gorgas. Teresa doesn’t seem particularly bothered by it. She wants to stay firmly inside her love bubble, and honestly, she seems determined to enjoy every second of it.

Luis, meanwhile, is fired up. He thinks the Gorgas are a joke and seems more than happy to dismiss them completely.

Danielle pulls Jennifer Aydin aside and tells her that she is planning to tell Melissa about the cheating rumor. Jennifer advises her not to do it.

And then, naturally, Jennifer drinks some more tequila.

Danielle pulls Melissa aside. Uh oh, here we go.

She tells Melissa about the rumor and insinuates that Margaret is behind it. Danielle seems to expect Melissa to thank her for the heads-up. Instead, Melissa drops a bomb of her own: Luis called Joe Gorga six months ago, invited him over to his house, and told him about the exact same cheating rumor.

So Danielle has basically been set up to spread a rumor that Melissa already knows about.

Melissa is furious. She blames Teresa and Luis for keeping the rumor alive and is especially pissed that Luis and Teresa told Joe about it behind her back. She says her sister-in-law is fucked up, and honestly, she has reached the point where this isn’t just another piece of Housewives gossip to her.

We get flashbacks to Stripper Gate and the other cheating accusations that have followed Melissa over the years. The implication is pretty damn clear: Melissa believes her marriage has been under attack for years, and she believes Teresa is the person behind it.

And now that same rumor has somehow made its way back around again, landing Danielle in the middle of a mess that was already waiting to explode.

Danielle is convinced Margaret is behind the rumor, and naturally, Margaret overhears them talking about her. Marge immediately announces that she is going to wrap Danielle’s Amazon dress around her throat.

    LMAO.

Danielle and Margaret go AT it. Marge has officially had enough of Danielle and wants her to shut up. She thinks Danielle is a stupid little shit-stirrer, which is probably not the best thing to say to someone who is already ready to throw hands.

Danielle starts throwing full-on Staten Island hands and gesturing wildly, while Margaret fires back by calling her a “low budget Betty.”

Danielle responds by calling Margaret an “old hag Nancy.”

    Fair enough.

At this point, everyone is screaming, and Melissa is physically holding Margaret back. Melissa blames Jennifer Aydin and Teresa for setting Danielle up and calls them “losers.”

    Teresa immediately takes offense.

    Because of course she does.

Melissa is officially sick of the cheating rumors. Teresa, meanwhile, is stunned that Melissa is bringing all of this up at the party. Dolores can see this shit escalating and wants everyone out of her house, but unfortunately, we have long since passed the point where anyone is listening to Dolores.

Melissa chases Teresa through the party, screaming, “You called my husband to your house!”

Now both Joe Gorga and Luis are paying attention, and they both look a little crazed and heated. Frank Catania, meanwhile, looks incredibly relieved that he is not involved in any of this.

Luis looks like he has been waiting for a fight all night, and now he has one. He is furious that Melissa called Teresa a “loser.” His face is bright red, his eyes are bugging out of his head, and he is screaming, “I am a winner!” like Charlie Sheen circa 2007.

Sir, this is a 1920s-themed party.

Joe asks Melissa what just happened, and she explains that Luis called him to his house and told him about the cheating rumor. Joe gives his side of the story and confirms that Luis did, in fact, tell him about it. He also makes it clear that he knows the rumor isn’t true.

So now we have the two husbands fully engaged, Luis is apparently auditioning for the role of motivational speaker at a very angry convention, and Dolores’ lovely flapper party has officially gone completely off the rails.

Danielle and Margaret go at it again, because apparently one explosion wasn’t enough. Jennifer Aydin gets involved, and Margaret accuses Jen of still wanting revenge over the Bill cheating revelation from last season. Marge brings up how that whole situation hurt Jennifer’s daughter.

Marge is extremely dismissive about it, which sends Jennifer completely over the edge. Jen goes hysterical and eventually has to be escorted out by Bill.

This party is true Jersey history.

Meanwhile, Luis is smoking a cigarette and hovering around the edges of the party, looking like he is waiting for an excuse to get involved. Danielle still will not shut up, despite the fact that basically everyone wants her to.

Joe tells Danielle not to worry about the cheating rumors because he doesn’t believe them.

So why are we still talking about this?

    Oh, dear.

    Here comes Luis.

He says, “I called Joe. I call Joe a lot of things,” while staring Joe Gorga dead in the face.

Well, that doesn’t sound threatening at all.

Joe Gorga looks almost bemused by the whole thing, which is probably the only reasonable reaction at this point.

Then Luis yells out, “Bo Dietl knows shit about everyone in this room!”

    And there it is.

Bo Dietl is a former cop and current private investigator, and suddenly everyone is paying attention. The name means absolutely nothing to some of the guests, but it clearly means something to the people who know what Luis is talking about.

Melissa asks Luis why his eyes are bugging out and why he is acting like this, and Luis starts speaking to her aggressively.

Joe Gorga does NOT like that.

He tells Luis to back off, and suddenly Danielle’s husband Nate is physically holding Luis back.

Because apparently the only thing this elegant 1920s party was missing was a human barricade between two angry New Jersey husbands.

I actually like Joe Gorga here. He is always losing his shit, and it often gets old, but I love a man who sticks up for his wife, especially against an asshole like Luis. Joey Gorga asks who talks to a woman like that, which is a fair question coming from a man who seems to have completely forgotten all the times he has called his own sister “garbage,” a “bitch,” and plenty of other nasty things over the years.

Meanwhile, Danielle and Marge are STILL fighting. Danielle tells Margaret to kiss her fat, flat ass. Marge declines the invitation and calls her a “stupid fucking bitch.”

Honestly, Danielle was a fool to bring this rumor up at a party and expect it to go well. She walked into a powder keg, lit a match, and then seemed surprised when the whole damn room exploded.

Dolores looks completely done and understandably pissed that her party has been ruined. More than anything, though, she wants everyone to be okay. She wanted to throw a fun party, and instead she has ended up refereeing a full-scale Jersey civil war.

And then there is the Bo Dietl bomb.

Luis dropped that name into the middle of the party, and the fallout is clearly not going to end here. This shit is going to ripple through the upcoming reunion and create some major fractures in an already broken group.

The party is over, but the bomb Luis dropped is still sitting there, waiting to explode.

  • I miss New York!

This episode begins with Ramona picking up Sonja for Ramona’s “bachelorette” vow-renewal party in St. John’s. Sonja is thrilled about the first-class trip because Sonja loves luxury. This is a woman who has never met a nice hotel she didn’t want to sleep in.

Jill isn’t coming because, according to Ramona, it isn’t about her. Luann is also staying behind in Manhattan, which makes Ramona happy because she considers both of them buzzkills.

Meanwhile, Luann is at the recording studio working on her song, and it is painful.

She loves to sing. She really shouldn’t.

Luann has met a producer who wants to make her a star, and she’s writing lyrics based on her book about class. The result will eventually become the iconic “Money Can’t Buy You Class.”

    Iconic? Absolutely.

    Good? Absolutely not.

I really want to fast-forward this, but I am here as a professional excavator, and duty calls.

She sings. She sucks. She looks like she’s having fun.

    The end.

In St. John’s, Ramona, Kelly, Bethenny, Alex, and Sonja get ready to enjoy Ramona’s vow-renewal trip.

Bethenny is arriving right on the heels of burying her father, and she’s pregnant and emotional. So naturally, she has been dropped into a Housewives vacation.

On the drive to the boat, the women are eating candy when Kelly announces that she doesn’t eat processed food. Just gummy bears.

    Okay, sure.

Kelly and Bethenny immediately start butting heads, although this is still the calm before the storm. We haven’t even reached the part where Kelly starts speaking in riddles.

The women are thrilled when they see the yacht, and Ramona is in a fantastic mood because everything is going exactly her way.

This is Alex’s first girls’ trip, and she’s looking forward to some relaxation.

She came to the wrong place.

Ramona says Jill is missing out by staying home, while Kelly jumps in to defend her. They tour the yacht and choose their rooms, and Ramona proudly shows off her teeny-tiny bathing suits.

The woman has unbeatable confidence. She packed more swimsuits than there are days on this trip.

Everyone changes into bathing suits and settles in to enjoy the yacht. At lunch, Ramona wants to keep things casual, while Kelly refuses to eat in her bathing suit.

Kelly is Contrary Mary this entire trip.

The women start discussing the death of Bethenny’s father when Ramona interrupts to demand Pinot Grigio. Bethenny jokes that she spotted some grapes in the fridge and could stomp them for her.

Kelly does not get the joke.

She is eating those grapes! She does not want them stomped on!

    Oh, dear.

    She went to Columbia, right?

Ramona tries to share an experience she had with Jill, but Kelly won’t really let her finish. Jill is angry that Ramona didn’t tell her immediately when Bethenny’s father died, and Kelly jumps in to defend Jill. Ramona resents it.

Kelly thinks the whole conversation is mean. Bethenny looks exhausted. She clearly does not want to be having this conversation.

Alex also has a Jill story, which somehow annoys Kelly even more. Kelly insists she is a real person, she’s normal, and they all psychoanalyze each other.

Then Kelly says she doesn’t care.

The women agree that if she doesn’t care, she probably shouldn’t comment.

Kelly says the women are making lemons into lemonade.

    WTF?

No. I don’t think that means what you think it means.

    There’s that Columbia edge again.

Bethenny tries to explain the expression, but Kelly cuts her off, starts raising her voice, and calls the women gross.

Ramona says Kelly told her she doesn’t know how to have feelings.

Kelly decides she needs a timeout and dramatically stomps off, nearly walking straight into the glass door. She can’t figure out how to open it, which really kills the moment.

She finally makes it outside, calling the women “demented” on her way out.

A few minutes later, Kelly returns from her timeout completely refreshed and cheerful.

And this is just the beginning of the Kelly roller coaster we’ll be riding for the next two episodes.

After lunch, the women swim, enjoy the boat for a while, and then get cleaned up for the evening.

Alex and Bethenny are ready first and sit down to discuss the trip so far. Alex is having a good time, although she’s missing her kids. Bethenny is feeling good about coming and seems at peace with her father’s death.

They both agree that Kelly is bonkers.

Alex simply says, “What was that?” about lunch, and honestly, perfect. No notes. That was exactly what needed to be said.

Bethenny wonders if Kelly went to Columbia the country instead of Columbia the university.

    I agree.

Back in the city, Luann is on a date with an icky guy who keeps trying to kiss her. His kisses look incredibly smooshy, and Luann keeps trying to dodge them. It is uncomfortable to watch.

Despite this, she says she likes him and will see him again.

We all know Luann has absolutely no problem getting a man, so I’m not really sure what’s happening here.

At dinner, Ramona has smartly arranged the seating to keep Bethenny and Kelly apart. Things go pretty well until Kelly, who claims she doesn’t drink, suddenly wants to do shots with all the ladies.

Bethenny opens up about her father, and Kelly shuts it down, basically telling her to get over it. It’s not necessarily the worst advice in the world, but the timing is terrible. Kelly does not know how to read a room.

    Or a boat.

Sonja sticks up for Bethenny, while Ramona barges in to announce that the boat next door belongs to the owner of Hooters and she wants to go party on his boat.

    Priorities.

Sonja starts questioning Kelly about her sex life, and somehow Kelly responds by saying she isn’t a ho bag like Bethenny.

It comes completely out of nowhere, and Bethenny laughs.

    So do I.

Ramona is on approximately her 46th Pinot Grigio and completely oblivious to how spectacularly her trip is falling apart.

Kelly adds that Bethenny is cunning and deceitful, and Bethenny tells her to get away from her.

Then the chef/cook fight kicks off.

Kelly insists Bethenny is not a chef. She is a cook. She says it over and over again.

    It’s coconuts.

Bethenny calls Kelly the most unintelligent human she has ever met, and honestly, that tracks.

Things get really ugly when Kelly suddenly claims Bethenny attacked her children. Bethenny has had enough, especially after the “ho bag” comment, and takes off for the Hooters boat with Ramona in search of some sanity.

That’s how bad the Kelly situation is.

Meanwhile, Ramona is flirting with the owner of Hooters and fishing for compliments. He is more than happy to accommodate her.

    Ramona is turtle-time buzzed.

She is still hot for Mario.

    She is off her rocker.

Bethenny wants to fill Alex and Ramona in on the Kelly fiasco. Ramona says she is just going to shut her down.

Well, she tries to say it.

    She is slurring pretty badly.

Sonja and Kelly follow Bethenny over to the Hooters boat, and Kelly is the gift that keeps on giving. She does not quit.

Sonja feels ditched and like she is always the one left to calm Kelly down. Ramona tells Kelly to be peaceful or leave, and Kelly insists she is peaceful. She says Bethenny has issues.

Kelly is out of her mind and not seeing things clearly. She is living in Kelly World.

Ramona decides they should dance and do Turtle Time for 15 minutes, and suddenly they’re dancing and declaring it the best time they’ve ever had.

Meanwhile, Sonja thinks Kelly’s room smells like cat pee.

    Hmm.

So, Kelly has come out of the gate like Cuckoo-Doodle-Doo.
